Many artists begin as self-representing artists (and some prefer to remain so). Some exhibit with other artists, others choose to exhibit with craftspeople. When I first started to try and sell my paintings, I took part in exhibitions with other artists that we organized ourselves. Later I tried to sell my artwork by renting a space at craft fairs, which proved to have limited success. The question is: are craft fairs a viable venue for artists?
