There are no magic answers here, but I can give suggestions based on my own failures and successes. I have sold several of my paintings and prints but not on a scale large enough to give up the day job. Most artists it seems have more than one job and never reach the dizzy commercial heights of Damien Hirst. However, there are more options available to artists now than there ever has been, mostly thanks to the internet.
